PERSONAL PROJECT
TILLAMOOK IS NOT JUST AN OREGON BRAND ANYMORE, BUT YOU STILL HAVE TO VISIT OREGON TO SEE THE FAMOUS TILLAMOOK CHEESE FACTORY. AS TILLAMOOK EXPANDS ACROSS AMERICA, THE TILLAMOOK CHEESE EXPERIENCE IS A MODEL THAT CAN BE PLACED ANYWHERE. NOW EVERYONE CAN LEARN ABOUT WHAT MAKES TILLAMOOK A BRAND THAT IS MORE THAN JUST YOUR AVERAGE CHEESE MANUFACTURER.
IDEATION:


I WORKED THROUGH A FEW DIFFERENT INITIAL CONCEPTS AND DECIDED TO LEAN INTO THE IDEA OF:
"ENTERING A BLOCK OF CHEESE."
IT IS SIMPLE, FAMILIAR, AND ENTICING. IT WORKS IN ALMOST ANY LOCATION.
DESIGN:

KEEPING WITH TILLAMOOK'S TRADEMARK COLORS & DESIGN, THE EXTERIOR IS A BRAND REMINDER FOR ALL THOSE WHO DRIVE BY -- EVEN IF THEY NEVER WALK IN.

THE MOST EYE CATCHING FEATURE IN THE STORE IS A LARGE SCREEN SHOWING LIVESTREAMS OF THE TILLAMOOK FARMS AND FACTORY

AN UPPER MEZZANINE ALLOWS PEOPLE TO GET A VIEW OF THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE WHILE ENJOYING FOOD FROM THE CHEESE SANWICH & ICE CREAM BAR

AN OUTDOOR SEATING AREA GIVES ANOTHER PLACE TO EAT AND ENJOY A BREATH OF FRESH AIR BEFORE LEAVING. IT ALSO ENCOURAGES PASSERBYS TO SAY "A TILLAMOOK CHEESE SANDWICH DOES SOUND PRETTY GOOD RIGHT NOW"
THE EXPERIENCE:
THE CHEESE EXPERIENCES ARE INTERTWINED WITH THE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE. THE VISITORS LEARN AND GET EXCITED ABOUT THE PRODUCTS IN FRONT OF THEM.

THE CHEESE EXPERIENCE IS MEANT TO FEEL ALIVE. IT CHANGES DAY-TO-NIGHT AND DAY-TO-DAY. THIS ENCOURAGES USERS TO COME BACK AND SEE THE EVOLVING LIVE STREAMS OF THE FARM AND FACTORY ON THE WALLS.
